It was 20 Years Ago Today

September 6th, 1995:  This was the date Cal Ripken shattered the record that so many thought was untouchable -- when he plays in his 2131st consecutive game to surpass Lou Gehrig's Ironman mark.
But Cal didn't just appear, he starred that night! The Orioles shortstop had two hits, including a 4th inning home run off the Angels' Shawn Boskie. In field, he started a double play to help Mike Mussina toward his 16th win of the season.

The game at Camden Yards was interrupted for a 22-minute celebration midway through the 5th inning, when the game (and the new ironman record) became official.
