Last night, that swing belonged to Indians shortstop
Francisco Lindor. One of the American League's rising stars, Lindor's two-run homer in the bottom of the 6th broke up a great pitching duel between Toronto's Marco Estrada and Cleveland's Corey Kluber. Estrada continued on for the first complete game of his career, while Indians skipper Terry Francona soon turned it over to his bullpen twins Andrew Miller and Cody Allen.
But the story at Progressive Field in game one of the ALCS was Lindor, who in just his second season, is giving Indians fans reason to believe their 68-year drought without a Championship might be nearing an end.
I got this first-hand look at Lindor's sweet swing when the Indians hosted the Yankees on July 8th.
