The Sho Goes On

That mighty swing of Shohei Ohtani produced his 42nd home run of the year Monday night as Angels pushed pashed the Yankees. Tack that on to 20 stolen bases and that 8-1 record in 19 games on the mound and he's a lock for the American League MVP.
All this positive buzz on Ohtani comes as Angels skipper Joe Madden sounded ready to write off Mike Trout, sidelined by a calf muscle injury, for the rest of the season. Imagine if those two had each played 140 games... how much closer would the Boys of Anaheim be to the Astros?

With more than a month to go in the regular season, the two-way sensation is on track to break the franchise record for homers: 47, set by Troy Glaus in 2000.
