If Your Birthday is March 25th...

...you share it with Lee Mazzilli. As New York a ballplayer as you can find, the Brooklyn native played for both the Mets and Yankees. A onetime first round draft pick, he never became the superstar the Mets hoped for; he enjoyed a later-career renaissance as a pinch hitter on the Amazins' 1986 World Champs. Mazzilli returned the Yankees as a member of Joe Torre's coaching staff before a brief stint as Orioles manager.
Hyun Jin Ryu has won 73 games in his eight U.S. seasons -- reaching 14 victories four times, including 2019 when he made history as the first Korean pitcher to start a World Series game.

Mike Zunino, the Rays' slugging catcher belted a career-high 33 home runs last season and is known as an adept pitch-framer.

There's a Hall of Famer with a March 25th birthday:

  • Tom Glavine won 303 games, mostly with the Braves and was part of Atlanta's trio of Cooperstown-bound pitchers during the '90s and early 2000s. A five-time 20 game winner earned a pair of Cy Young Awards and was the MVP of the 1995 World Series when the Braves brought Atlanta its first Championship.
And we remember:
  • Woody Held, who came up through the Yankees farm system, but enjoyed his most productive seasons as the Indians regular 2nd baseman from 1959-'64.
