Mike Napoli was the right man in the right place in 2013. The onetime Angel and Ranger signed with the Red Sox last winter. But a medical exam revealed a hip condition that led to the contact he signed with Boston being shortened and cut in value. But his performance (23 home runs and a career-best 92 RBIs) -- attitude, and leadership -- helped earn him a new deal with the Sox covering two more seasons and $32-million.
