Throwback Thursday: A Day Early

Could this be the first time a mascot appeared on the cover of a team's post-season program? 1978 was the year the fuzzy green phan phavorite was phirtst seen at the Vet. Players, uniform styles and ballparks change, but the Phanatic is the constant; the phace of the phranchise.
I held onto my copy from the series where the Dodgers tripped up the Phils for the second straight year.

Nothing like Throwback Thursday on a Wednesday!

Of course, that's alright since you are featuring the best mascot ever, the original Phanatic, none other than Dave Raymond, son of legendary University of Delaware football coach Tubby Raymond, and himself the team's punter!

Dave and I are the same class of '75 at Delaware as well.

I remember the agony of the '77 and '78 playoffs- it seemed like the Phillies would never win.

But two years later....

Thanks so much for this amazing post!
